Our Mission

The mission of the Shiawassee County Crime Victim Rights Coordinator is to reduce the trauma of crime by providing information, support, and advocacy services to victims, witnesses and their families throughout the criminal justice process.  The Shiawassee County Victim Rights Coordinator notifies victims of information regarding their case, current court dates, information about the criminal justice process, offers courtroom support, referrals to other social service agencies, provides assistance with protection orders, serves as a liaison with law enforcement and prosecutors, and provides assistance with crime victim compensation and victim notification applications.
