Michigan Child Support Calculator
The Michigan Office of Child Support has released the MiChildSupport Calculator. The MiChild Support Calculator is Michigan's approved child support calculator. Please carefully review this page and the MiChildSupport Calculator before using the Calculator.
The MiChildSupport Calculator will not provide you with a court order or a support recommendation, but will be able to give a general idea about how much child support may charge if a support order was entered. The more detail you include when you complete the calculator, the more accurate your calculation may be. The calculation you reach through using the calculator may not be the same amount that is reached by the Friend of the Court or the Court. Differences in calculations are usually due to the information that is included when calculating, but can also be due to the Friend of the Court and the Court being more familiar with the Michigan Child Support Formula. While the MiChildSupport Calculator is a valuable tool, it does not necessarily mean that the result you receive will be the amount of child support that will charge if there is a child support order entered by the Court. There are many factors that may be considered that may not be considered by the MiChild Support Calculator.
