The land use planning and zoning function of the Community Development Department includes implementing land use and community development policies, review of development proposals, staffing the Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, and enforcing zoning and land use regulations.
The following documents are commonly associated with the consideration of new development in the County’s zoning jurisdiction. Please contact our office prior to submitting any petition for development to ensure that proposed uses are in compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and Master Plan, that appropriate applications are completed, and to discuss process and procedure for review and approval.
