Call to public:

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Cole to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving the proposal from Sparrow Forensic Pathology to continue as the Medical Examiner for Shiawassee County for the period of four (4) years with an annual fee of $129,710.00 subject to increases and decreases under outlined conditions and authorize the Board Vice Chair to sign the same.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Sparkes to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving the 2010 County Holiday Schedule.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Sparkes to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving a two year extension of the deer carcass removal contract with Bernard Minnick for $38.00 per carcass with a removal time of 24 hours for the period of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2011 and authorize the Board Vice Chair and County Clerk to sign the same.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Cole to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider ratifying the Tentative Agreement and authorize the Shiawassee County Board Chair and Sheriff to enter into an agreement with Teamsters Local 214 Non-Supervisory Unit for the period of April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2011 and approve Resolution #09-11-15.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Cole to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider ratifying the Tentative Agreement and authorize the Shiawassee County Board Chair and Sheriff to enter into an agreement with Teamsters Local 214 Supervisory Unit for the period of April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2011 and approve Resolution #09-11-16.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Pajtas to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving Budget Adjustments #09-20, #09-21, and #09-22.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Pavlica to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving a PA 116 Agreement for Jerome M. & Marianna Sigafoose for property located in Perry Township Parcel #78-014-03-300-001-04.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Pajtas to move to Thursday’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting to consider approving PA 116 Agreements for Patricia K. Dohr for properties located in:  Vernon Township Parcel #78-012-31-300-003, Vernon Township Parcel #78-012-31-300-001, Vernon Township Parcel #78-012-31-100-001, Burns Township Parcel #78-016-18-200-001, Antrim Township Parcel #78-015-01-200-001, Shiawassee Township Parcel #78-011-25-400-003, Shiawassee Township Parcel #78-011-36-400-001.  Motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Pavlica, seconded by Commissioner Robb to consider going into a Closed Session to consider a Written Legal Opinion within the Attorney-Client Privilege.  Motion carried.

The Board went into closed session at 4:30 p.m.

The Board came back into regular session at 4:57 p.m.

It was moved by Commissioner Robb, seconded by Commissioner Cole to approve the minutes of the closed session held previously in this meeting.  Motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
