Animal Control

The Animal Control Office, under the supervision of the Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office is required to:

• Enforce the Dog Law of 1919 (licensing of dogs and kennels);
• Impound animals found running at large; and
• Hold impounded animals for the statutory period.
